And I feel the same way about movie
book covers.
I tend to get interested in authors after I read their books. There is one author I like who turned out to have been involved in a famous murder case years before (as one of the killers). That was a shocker. I was pretty young, my dad should have been watching. It's awful, but I can't help but find it funny.
And yes, I am totally with you on the movie covers make awful book covers.
Here’s my TTTJoiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03519493693585041549noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-423136364014520705.post-83352864104650370062012-08-28T18:32:01.796-02:302012-08-28T18:32:01.796-02:30I still haven't read the Tudor series so I hav...I still haven't read the Tudor series so I have no idea what order they go in, but I plan on reading The Other Boleyn Girl first - according to Goodreads, The Constant Princess is the first book in the series (ooh I have that one too! forgot about that), and then TOBG. You can see the list here. Does that help?

I've read Bitten and Stolen, the two go together really well so I recommend that. I really really loved them and have been collecting the other books in the series, but since the next book switches to the witch whose name I've forgotten, and Elena doesn't come back till later, I've been putting them off. I can never remember the order of that series either, but I always check Goodreads (I wish so much that Chapters had access to Goodreads or something, so that when I'm browsing I can find out a) if I have the book already, and b) which is the first one!! That would be so helpful!).

I've only read the first book in the Mortal Instruments series, but I keep buying them when they come out. Soooooo far behind now it's not funny! Also got the first Clockwork book too. I think they're all in storage now, won't be able to get at them until we move back to Australia next year.

I too hate it when books have the movie cover, I don't like buying them - mostly, and this might sound shallow, but mostly because I don't want people to think that I only got the book because there's a movie!

I can't believe you threw books in the bin!! I would have fished them out. ;)Shannon (Giraffe Days)https://www.blogger.com/profile/00873129203015194947noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-423136364014520705.post-35867447767871843612012-08-28T18:25:27.829-02:302012-08-28T18:25:27.829-02:30I just giggled at the library slot/garbage story! ...I just giggled at the library slot/garbage story! How awful, but also kind of a little bit funny.

Movie book covers are totally the bane of my bookshelf. I have very very few and will always opt for the original cover.April (BooksandWine)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15268544465552896599noreply@blogger.com
