I definitely agree that you can tell she is from England, as there is a lot of Anglophile language in there. She should have changed the setting along with the names to distance it a little further from Twilight as well. Glad to finally hear someone else not raving about (or completely trashing) this book. I don;t think it's as good as all the lovers of it, but I have read worse books as well. Do you find people love to challenge the fact that you weren't crazy about it?? haha, that's always my favorite!jesspoolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13821915310008462411noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-423136364014520705.post-88008546673137221982012-07-19T01:14:54.111-02:302012-07-19T01:14:54.111-02:30I agree! Plus all that inner goddess stuff...doing the tengo, peeking over glasses, tapping her foot:( Not my favorite parts. The author lives in England and she made the characters talk like they were from there. It was a lot worse in the second book. I chuckled at your last paragraph. She was a TV exec at one point...but you're right...did she do a lot of research on it? :)<br />- Jenna @ Fans of FictionJenna and Ashleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00952637818862079014noreply@blogger.com
